Wavell State High School paddle for excellence

The Wavell State High School Excellence Programs are set to begin their yearly fitness camps with Sunday Creek staff.

The Year 10 students will run and hike through the Conondale National Park with an overnight stay at Booloumba Creek.  The program is designed to test them physically and get them ready for the gruelling year of sport ahead.

The senior students will paddle from Elanda Point to Harry’s Hut over a challenging three days that is designed to test them both physically and mentally. Sleeping under a tarp, paddling 35km and a 12km run – sounds like fun right? We wish them all the best on their journey.
