Risk assessment and risk management plans are completed by Sunshine Coast Environmental Education Centre staff for each camp and program type. These draw attention to departmental guidelines for conducting activities, but also place significance on special conditions that apply such as:
- No smoking policy.
- Dress code for participating teachers and parent helpers.
- Administering of medication.
- Water bottles/supply particularly for early childhood students.
- Site specific emergency contact numbers.
- Parent identification on all programs.
We also have a range of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for specific aspects of our camp programs. These can be accessed to aid with visiting teacher planning.
